MARÍA LUISA PONCELA GARCÍA
State Secretary of Commerce

Studied Economics with a focus on Business Administration at the University of Zaragoza, graduating in 1982.

Member of the Higher Corps of State Trade and Economics Technicians since 1989, as well as the State Department of Business Diplomas since 1984. In addition, she was President of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI).

 


JUAN ANDRÉS ÁLVAREZ BALLESTEROS
Technical Director R & D, Quality and Environment, Grupo Armando Álvarez.

Degree in Chemical Sciences, Universidad Complutense de Madrid,  MBA International, Environmental Engineering and Management, Prevention of Occupational Risks, Plastics and Rubber, Sustainable Production and Consumption.

Since 1990, he has been working in the GRUPO ARMANDO ALVAREZ (GAA), currently working as Technical Director of Research and Development, Quality and Environment.

 

JAVIER IGNACIO VILLACAMPA
Corporate Innovation Director of Grupo Antolín

He holds M. Sc. Science, Chemical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza and, MBA and PADE from IESE Business School, University of Navarra.

He has more than 20 years of experience working in manufacturing industry.

 

ROBERTO M. GÓMEZ BERNARDO
Repsol Technical Advisor Polyolefins

Graduated in Physics at the University of Cantabria. Joined Repsol in 1997 in Puertollano, one of Repsol’s largest facilities. He held several positions, including the Head of Environment of the Chemical Plant from 2000 to 2010. From mid-2010 until February 2013 he was transferred as Project Manager in Brussels for Plastics Europe.

Returned to Repsol’s offices in Madrid in February 2013 as Repsol’s Head of the Environmental Department for the Refining and Chemical Business until February 2015, when he became Chemical Business Sustainability Jede. Since the beginning of 2017, he is Technical Advisor for Polyolefins at Repsol.

 

MARTA MARTÍNEZ-GIL PARDO DE VERA
Division for the Protection of the Sea
General Direction of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea
Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment

Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Alcalá, Master in Environmental Engineering and Water Management (EOI, Madrid). Began her professional career at Eptisa, Engineering Services, working on the design of water treatment plants and in the field of hydrological planning.  Began her public service at the Center for Studies of Ports and Coasts of CEDEX, where she worked on different environmental aspects related to the marine environment.

Since May 2013, she has been working in the Division for the Protection of the Sea of ​​the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment and more recently as Head of Human Activities Area linked to Marine Strategies as well as to the International Conventions for the Protection of the Sea.

MARGARITA RUIZ SAIZ – AJA
Assistant Deputy Director General for Waste

Graduated as a Chemical Engineer at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), she joined in 2005 as the first destination to the General Subdirectorate of Waste, after holding the opposition of career officer belonging to the Scale of Higher Technical Technicians of Autonomous Organizations of the Ministry of Environment.

As of March 2012, she is Deputy Assistant Director-General, coordinating urban waste policy and being responsible for packaging and packaging waste, energy from waste and end of waste, among others.

 

JUAN ROSELL LASTORTRAS
President of the CEOE

Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona and studied Political Science at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

He is a Spanish businessman, being President of Congost Plastic S.A. He is also the current president of the CEOE since December 21, 2010. He was President of National Labor Promotion between 1995 and 2011.

MICHAEL KUNDEL
President of EuPC

Michael Kundel holds a degree of University of Applied Science as an Economist and started his professional career in 1988 at Rütgers Werke AG, Frankfurt where he worked for five years in several managerial functions. In 1993 he joined the RENOLIT Group, Worms as Head of Corporate Controlling, accompanying closely the strong growth of subsequent years. In early 2000, he took over the Managing Director position of RENOLIT Hispania S.A. and was appointed as a member of the Board of the RENOLIT Group in 2003. After a further intensive growth phase of RENOLIT, he became CEO in 2008.

 

DANIEL CALLEJA CRESPO
Director General of DG Environment in EC

Degree in Law from the University of Comillas ICADE in Madrid and in European Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Prior to participating in ENVI General Management on 1 September 2015, Mr. Calleja was the Director General of the General Directorate for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs until 31 August 2015.

Previously, from February 2011 to January 2012, he was the Deputy Director-General of the General Directorate of Enterprise and Industry, and the Special Envoy for SMEs.

 

BEGOÑA CRISTETO BLASCO
General Secretary for Industry and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

Degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Belongs to the State Department of Commercial Diplomats and to the Higher Corps of Commercial Technicians and State Economists. Since February 2014, she has held the position of General Secretary for Industry and SME in the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, having held other positions at ICEX.

 


JOSÉ ANTONIO COSTA
General Manager of AIMPLAS

Degree in Physics from the University of Valencia and General Manager of AIMPLAS, Technological Institute of Plastics.

Firstly, responsible for the Quality Department at AIMPLAS, later responsible for the International Projects Department. In 2008, he was appointed Deputy to the Management and in 2009 he assumed the management of the Institute, starting a new stage, consolidating AIMPLAS as a reference center at European level.
